Sport and exercise are vital components of health and happiness. They are essential forms of recreation that have positive effects on physical and mental health.
There should be more opportunity for sport and exercise in education so that it takes place not just in sports lessons, but also during or between other lessons. Students could be walking, for example, during lessons that allow for this possibility.
There should be policies to incentivise access to sport and exercise available to those who do not have the means to do so, including polices directed at health insurers,
It is also important to encourage older people to engage in physical activity, to enable them to grow old healthily. This also reduces the pressures on health care.
